Executive Summary

Jazeera Airways' 2025 ESG report demonstrates solid foundational disclosure across all three pillars, anchored by a standalone GRI-referenced report aligned to UN SDGs and Boursa Kuwait expectations with a structured materiality assessment. Environmental performance is credible for an airline, featuring multi-year Scope 1+2 emissions data with intensity metrics, detailed energy and multi-stream waste reporting, and extensive fuel-efficiency programs, though Scope 3 emissions, quantified reduction targets, TCFD alignment, and renewable energy remain absent. Social performance is the strongest area, led by a DGCA-approved Safety Management System with disclosed injury metrics, comprehensive wellness/mental-health programs, detailed workforce diversity data, and a broad training ecosystem, while supply-chain ESG management remains underdeveloped. Governance shows a robust multi-regulator compliance framework, a comprehensive ethics and whistleblowing structure, and full board/committee disclosure, but is constrained by low board independence (22.2%), low female board representation (11.1%), undisclosed board evaluation, and an absence of sustainable finance instruments. Overall, the company exhibits a maturing ESG program with strong operational and safety practices but needs deeper target-setting, external assurance, and supply-chain integration to advance.

Strengths

Strong occupational health & safety governance via a DGCA-approved Safety Management System with a disclosed injury rate (1.06 per million hours) and extensive employee wellness and mental-health programs including a funded EAP.
Credible environmental measurement for an airline, including multi-year Scope 1+2 emissions with intensity metrics, detailed energy data, and numerous fuel-efficiency initiatives (SkyBreathe, CDO/CCO, fleet modernization to A320neo).
Comprehensive governance and ethics foundation with a Code of Ethics, formal whistleblowing policy with anonymity and anti-retaliation protection, multi-regulator compliance framework (CMA, Boursa Kuwait, DGCA), and structured GRI-aligned materiality assessment.

Areas for Improvement

Quantify Scope 3 emissions, set formal GHG/energy reduction targets with baselines and timelines, adopt TCFD-aligned climate risk disclosure with scenario analysis, and pursue external assurance of the ESG report.
Strengthen supply-chain ESG by implementing a formal supplier Code of Conduct, ESG screening, local procurement disclosure, and audit processes — currently the weakest area with no standardized supplier requirements.
Improve board governance by increasing independence above 25%, raising female board representation above 15%, disclosing board evaluation and remuneration policies, and broadening employee-level anti-corruption training coverage well beyond current low rates.
